June, 2020 - This review is for the Jabra Elite 65t earbuds, not the Elite Active 65t earbuds. While they are essentially the same in appearance and fit - they are both "truly wireless" earbuds - the Actives possess a few more bells and whistles, including being sweat resistant (not water proof) and step tracking. Both the Elite 65t and Elite Active 65t are equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, which is now starting to appear in many bluetooth devices and is supposed to create a more stable and much faster wireless connection.

I used the Jabra Elite 65t earbuds when I was walking the dog, or if I was otherwise occupied and wanted to listen to a podcast or maybe Howard Stern on SirusXM without disturbing anyone else - and you need earbuds for that!

Sound quality was important - sound quality is always important - so I did my research. The consensus? The sound quality of the Jabra Elite 65t is very good, better than most other 'buds out there. Better than
Apple AirPods, said most of the reviews.

That was good news, as I've ripped a lot of the vinyl in my record collection to high-end audio files and I'd like them to sound as decent as possible, even played back through a pair of earbuds. I also have a pair of Bose QuietComfort headphones for serious headphone listening, but I'm not expecting that kind of performance from a l'il ol' 'bud. And, truthfully, I only use the Bose headphones when I'm on a plane. They're really good at blocking out the surrounding airplane and crying baby noises.
