Vinyl Addict
I AM A VINYL ADDICT!

There. I admit it. And this website is an example of what can happen when a vinyl addict is stuck in lockdown due to a global pandemic. That's when this started, and I'm still at it, although somewhat sporadically. It's also a love letter to a hobby I've been enjoying for five decades. I'm rediscovering my record collection and writing about it, and as I write about it I'm learning a lot about the music in my collection.

I collect (mostly) analogue records because I like the way they sound. Analogue sounds better than digital. It just does. I collect 33 rpm records exclusively, and some CDs. Actually, I don't collect CDs anymore - but I do have some.

The value of some of the records I have collected over the years has increased substantially since the time I acquired them, and so about eight years ago I decided curate my collection and to cash in some of that equity by trading away the records I don't listen to for ones I will listen to. That's what this website is all about - me getting re-acquainted with my record collection as I work my way through it, tweaking it as I go. It's an ongoing project.

See something you like? Feel free to make me an offer somewhere between the median and high Discogs value, which you can see by clicking on any album cover. I probably won't sell it, but you never know!
